Microsoft Surface Duo review: Two screens, unfinished software

As polished as the Duo hardware is, it’s not a feat of inexplicable voodoo. Microsoft made it svelte and foldable in part by eliminating elements that Apple or Samsung wouldn’t dream of ditching. It’s got only one pretty rudimentary camera-essentially a front-facing videoconferencing model that you can flip around to photograph other things—rather than two, three, or four of them.
