It is possible to use a smartphone running an operating system other than Google’s Android or Apple’s iOS (Tizen, LineageOS, /anyone?), but the likelihood that you’re doing so is infinitesimal. Like it or not, for the present, we’re locked in a duopoly when it comes to mobile operating system choice.
