Apple opens Developer Academy in Detroit focused on iOS apps

Apple opened its first US Developer Academy in Detroit this week, which teaches students coding, design, marketing and project management, “with an emphasis on inclusivity and making a positive impact in their communities.” The effort was launched with Michigan State University, and is part of Apple’s Racial Equity and Justice Initiative, which is geared toward addressing systemic racism while making opportunities available for people of color around the country. .
